Job Overview
Reporting to Section Head, Information Systems, this position is responsible to develop/modernize IT applications. You will assist and develop all stages of the product development life cycle. The successful candidate for this role will be a highly skilled full stack developer with outstanding problem solving skills and eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast paced industry.
Key Accountabilities:
- Designing, developing, implementing, testing IT applications either as a solo developer or collaborating with a team of developers (on larger projects)
- Work and communicate with end users in defining and documenting functional requirements
- Manage software using Git version control software
- Expertise in problem-solving, optimizing and debugging complex code as well as writing technical documentation.
Qualifications
- 4-year university education in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems
- Programming proficiency with Angular, C#, .Net, Python and Java computer languages, application development experience with MS SQL or other relational databases, solid understanding of computer operating systems and networks including Windows, TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, and proxies
- Proficiency in using integrated development environments such as MS Visual Studio or Eclipse, to develop and trouble-shoot applications.
- Experience managing software using industry standard practices like git source control and continuous integration and deployment.
- Working experience with Azure DevOps, PowerShell scripting, Azure architecture, ARM templates, Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
