Job Overview
– Develop and author new or revised nuclear governance documents (programs, procedures, standards) that meet CSA, CNSC and OPG requirements.
– Complete reviews of existing governance documents to assess the relevancy and applicability to particular work packages.
– Liaise with stakeholders and coordinate review, verification, validation process for new or revised documents.
– Provide advice and guidance to managers on the implementation and application of new and/or revised programs.
– Prepare materials to support required submissions to the Regulator and Senior Management.
Qualifications
– Experience to understand, apply, and utilize Nuclear Policies and Procedures, station reference plans, radiological and conventional safety procedures, regulations, legislation, work protection and Quality Assurance (QA) standards, communications tools, etc..
– Knowledge of Nuclear, CSA N286 and ISO 9001 management systems with experience in developing management systems.
– Experience with CNSC Regulatory Documents and any of the following nuclear processes: OPEX, Corrective Action, Self-Assessment, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, as well as non-nuclear Engineering.
– Strong aptitude in English language, both written and oral, to document procedures, experiences, and practices in a clear, concise manner, prepare reports, and to facilitate effective communications with others.
– Knowledge of Nuclear decommissioning scope and requirements is an asset.
